Top 5 Scenic Drives in Florida

Florida is home to thousands of miles of roads and coast line. Someone can easily get lost exploring all of the amazing places from Key West to Pensacola. The Ticket Clinic’s lawyers have travelled all over the state serving our clients in every Florida county. Throughout the years, we’ve clocked thousands of miles and seen all the sights. Here are the most scenic drives in Florida and why we like them.

#1 Miami to Key West – This route will take you along one of the longest and most scenic bridges ever built. The bridge itself is a 7 mile ride over the ocean with some of the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets you will see. During this drive, you will also have the opportunity to stop at beautiful places like Isla Morada, Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and The Rain Barrel Artisan Village. We assure you this will be a memorable drive you’ll never forget.

#2 Panhandle – Taking you from Pensacola to Panama City, this drive along the Gulf Coastline is one of our favorites not only because of its stunning quartz sand beaches but because you will find some of the most friendly beach towns to stop, walk around and eat. There’s also unique places to stop like The Bay Bluff Park that has the highest natural viewpoint along the entire Florida coastline.

#3 Indian River Lagoon – Located in Titusville, this scenic drive takes you along the Space Coast. The waterway is the home for more species of fish, animals and birds than any other in North America. The drive is about 186 miles, but it allows you to stop, explore and participate in activities like bird watching, kayaking and maybe even a shuttle launch at Space View Park if your timing is right.

#4 A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway – This 85 miles drive takes you from Ponte Vedra Beach to Daytona Beach, FL and it offers astonishing views of both land and sea. Although this drive is a short one, you should plan on spending a few days doing the trip to fully enjoy all activities this route offers you at every stop. A good example? A visit to the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Estuarine Research Reserve which protects over 73,000 acres that serve as a sanctuary for wide range of plants and wildlife.

#5 Loop Road – If you are one that likes adventure you will probably enjoy this drive. This 24 mile road runs parallel to The Tamiami Trail through the Everglades where you will most likely encounter alligators crossing the road. Panthers are also frequently spotted in this area. Loop Road is part of the Big Cypress National Wildlife Refuge and it offers you a variety of activities like camping and hiking.

From land to sea, sunrises and sunsets, this beautiful state will take your breath away. If this post inspired you to get in your car, be careful for speed traps across Florida. If you happen to get a pulled over while exploring, the traffic ticket lawyers at The Ticket Clinic are always here to help. Call 1-800-CITATION before you pay any citation.
