Traffic Lawyer Report: Orlando Area By The Numbers
Over the last decade, Orange County also known as the Orlando area has seen explosive population growth. Orlando is now the 4th most populated Florida city with 290,520 residents according to the 2020 census. That’s over a 23% increase in total population. All those new people leads to more traffic congestion and ultimately more law enforcement. Our team took a deep look at the State’s data to see where the Orlando area ranks when it comes to traffic tickets.
In 2020, 163,398 traffic tickets were written by Orlando-area law enforcement. Out of those traffic violations, 12,604 were criminal offenses and 125,338 were non-criminal moving violations like speeding, careless driving and red light camera.
